A Chicago man has been arrested for allegedly robbing a carjack victim by covering his face with a bulletproof vest.
A 19-year-old man told police that the man pulled up in a vehicle with a gun and demanded money from him as he got out of the car, according to a Chicago police report.
The victim told police he didn’t know who the robber was.
The victim told investigators he went to a car dealership and paid the man a cash deposit.
The man allegedly took off in the victim’s car.
He ran across the street and grabbed a weapon and fired it at the car.
The bullet went through the passenger side window and hit the ground, according of the report.
Police arrested the 19-yo man, who has not been named, on a charge of aggravated robbery.
The 19-yr-old was in custody Friday on $500,000 bail.
