New LG G5 and G6 devices will come with dual-camera setups, but that’s only one of the many changes coming with the G6.
Now, the company is announcing another major feature, and it’ll likely be the first of many.
According to a new leak, the dual-lens camera setup on the new G6 will offer better optical zoom and more usable aperture, but it’s still pretty bulky.
The leaks are from a developer blog post that shows the dual camera setup with a 4K screen, and the device also includes a dual-speaker setup with an integrated stereo headset.
LG says the dual audio setup can be switched between two speaker modes, and that it supports dual-LED and dual-color lighting.
The company says it has “a very extensive and robust suite of camera technology in its portfolio” for the G5, and LG’s blog post also confirms that the dual cameras are the only ones that are not dual-focal.
We’ve asked LG for more details about the dual lenses, and we’ll update if we hear back.
LG is offering a “limited edition” G6 in China, and there’s no word on pricing or availability yet.
We’ll keep you posted as more information becomes available.
